Zoom has had some glaring privacy and security issues. The “zoom bombardments” continue, where hackers break into chat rooms to drop racist language and violent threats. The company   had to fix a bug that would allow hackers to take over a Zoom user’s Mac computer. He also  had to change some of his policies after a Motherboard report found that Zoom was sending data from users of the iOS app to Facebook for advertising purposes  .

The company also  claimed that their calls were encrypted and then traced back when proven false in a report on Intercept  . Colorado Senator Michael Bennet asked Zoom’s CEO Eric Yuan for answers about privacy concerns, and the FTC was called in to investigate the company.
